Mechanical parts are produced at the Association Sainte-Camille in the canton Fribourg Switzerland. Since 1961, the Sainte-Camille organization has been primarily assisting adults with physical disabilities by providing them with accommodation facilities and work opportunities in workshops.
The 6 areas of activity are led by professionals in the field and have modern and high-performing equipment. The mechanical workshop under the supervision of Mr Hevé Chenaux and Samuel Joye, employs 10 people with disabilities.
About Me
Bolfix was created because I wanted to learn how to produce mechanical parts while also supporting my long-term documentary about Bolex. It started as a way to understand the process of making precise mechanical components. At the same time, it helps me fund and continue work on my documentary, which explores the history and craft of Bolex cameras.
All modifications to the cameras are non-destructive and use existing mounting points, ensuring the original design and integrity of the equipment are preserved.
