Jason Thompson STL-24 Crystal Sync, based on the Tobin TXM-24, uses modern components for improved reliability and a smaller size. It supports 23.976, 24, and 25 framerates, with a hidden speed adjustment to prevent accidental changes. The temperature compensated crystal oscillator (TCXO) ensures stability from -30°C to 75°C, with ~2.5ppm frequency stability, eliminating the need for frequent calibration. ESD protection safeguards sensitive electronics.
Jason Thompson added a 7-pin Amphenol-Tuchel port for flexible cable options and easy repairs. The top port connects to Bolex cameras or motors for sync and power. For EBM models, connect power to the bottom port. Do not connect power to the bottom port when using an EL.
